Yoga For Healthy Minds
Based on Hatha Yoga this gentle yoga class is for everyone interested in useful ways to promote their own mental wellbeing, and for people who may struggle with difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions.
These classes will blend elements of Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness to the ancient art of Hatha yoga to offer participants the opportunity to explore how to deal with difficult patterns of thoughts, emotions and behaviours whilst engaged in the practice of Asana (yoga postures).
This combination will allow students to practice how to deal with difficult thoughts, sensations and feelings as they arise “on the mat” with the goal that these skills are then implemented in life “off the mat”.
These classes will aim to promote strength, flexibility, posture and health, and will also develop mindfulness skills of mind, body, breath and emotion. – The key elements to mental wellbeing.
The teacher; Susanna Zito is a Dr in Clinical Psychology seeing clients for individual psychology sessions in Byron Bay. She also possesses a level two Yoga Teacher Certificate.
